• Biographie:

Le New Jersey n'est pas seulement la patrie de Bruce Springsteen, c'est également le lieu de naissance du groupe américain Bon Jovi. Formé en 1983, autour de Jon Bon Jovi, ce groupe se fait remarquer grâce à une démo Runaway qui lui permet de faire les premières parties de ZZ Top et des Scorpions. Leur premier album éponyme sort en 86 suivi d'un deuxième, tous deux catalogués comme hard rock mélodique, version clean, destiné aux radios FM. Rien de banal donc, jusqu'à la sortie de Slippery When Wet en 86 qui se vend à plus de treize millions d'exemplaires et fait de Bon Jovi, un des groupes qui cartonnent. La formule gros rock carré et la gueule d'ange de Jon Bon Jovi font des ravages. Les albums se suivent aux sommets des charts internationaux et le groupe en 95, fait la première partie des Rolling Stones pour leur Voodoo Lounge Tour. Bon Jovi percute l'année 2000 avec un nouvel album Crush, toujours aussi rock, toujours aussi musclé. En 2001, One Wild Night: Live 1985-2001 sort dans les bacs. En septembre 2002, Bon Jovi délivre un nouvel opus Bounce. L'année suivant, il sort un best of live acoustique baptisé This Left Feels Right.
